What Is Assisted Living?
Residents in Assisted Living will have assistance with activities of daily living and basic care support in a homelike setting at Portland Assisted Living and Memory Center.
Trained caregivers provide attention and assistance with medication management, bathing, dressing, meals, laundry, incontinence management, transfers and ambulation assistance 24-hours a day. In addition, we coordinate services with outside healthcare providers and monitor residents to ensure their optimal health and to keep on top of any changes in health conditions.
Our approach allows varying levels of independence for seniors by providing person-centered support. This approach allows us to make daily life easier for our residents by offering the desired service and care as their needs and preferences dictate.
Why Is Memory Care Important?
Portland Assisted Living and Memory Center will offer care for residents with Alzheimer’s and other neurological diseases in a nurturing environment that will provide a safe, secure setting where the residents can feel like they are at home. Our staff is specially trained to support those in memory care with more than their substantial medical skills—they serve with compassion. We invite you to rest easy knowing that your loved one lives at Portland Assisted Living and Memory Center, celebrating all that life still offers: days filled with purpose, new interests and new friends.
Our Center will have consistent staff and provide daily routines to our residents in a home-like atmosphere designed to inspire and stimulate their senses. The daily activities will provide mental and social stimulation, thereby helping to draw out the person whose life has been altered by Alzheimer’s disease or another form of dementia.
